Buses made with Dow and Dow Izolan VORAFORCE technology won an international award

Bus made with polyurethane based VORAFORCE composite systemsAn extendable bus made of composites by Nanotechnology Center of Composites (NCC, Russian Federation) and Evopro group (Hungary) won an International Award in the category «Urban transport» at the international exhibition JEC World 2016 in Paris.

Polyurethane based VORAFORCE™ composite systems supplied by Dow Izolan (JV in Vladimir, Russian Federation) were used for the doors of the engine compartment of the bus. The systems are easy to use, cost effective, have low environmental impact and are often used in construction. Infrastructure and transportation industries allow obtaining high quality products with outstanding durability.

«This is an important achievement for Dow Izolan. The company pays great attention to the sustainability aspect and innovative approach. We are proud that our products can make significant contribution to human progress. Being a part of this famous international award is an honor for us,» commented Sergey Anikin, General Manager of Dow Izolan.

The peculiarity of the new bus is the possibility to «shorten» or «extend» it depending on the needs. The body sections of the vehicle can be joined together to create modular constructions — one or two sections to create a small bus and two or more to have a longer vehicle. Being made of composites the bus is lightweight and corrosion resistant. On top, it can be adapted for various types of fuel including diesel, natural gas and electric.
